Simplicity meets Excellence

Today more than ever, the importance of accurate and timely diagnostics is clearly understood. The journey from blood collection to the final test result, however, requires the highest level of dedication, expertise and diligence of the laboratory staff.

To support you in this, Roche has developed innovative integrated solutions renowned for quality and excellence.

cobas® pure integrated solutions is the newest member of the cobas® family of systems which is designed to deliver excellence, while at the same time simplifying your daily work. cobas® pure combines clinical chemistry, immunochemistry and ISE testing on a footprint of just 2 square meters, giving access to our broad menu of more than 230 parameters - including many unique high medical value value assays to labs who have to deal with limited space.

To simplify daily operation, cobas® pure comes with new features that minimize the hands on work for the operators, thus saving precious time.

To ensure simple and effective work for network organizations, cobas® pure provides fully standardized results and operation to cobas® pro integrated solutions - Roches’s latest analyzer designed for larger labs.

Because simplifying any step of the journey can help deliver fast and accurate diagnosis

Mass spectrometry is a versatile and advantageous diagnostic tool found in a clinical laboratory. It can be used in certain clinical situations, such as measuring steroid hormones in endocrinology, testing vitamin D, and monitoring immunosuppressants and therapeutic drugs. The high specificity and sensitivity of the tests can provide physicians with greater levels of clarity, which in turn can benefit patients through more precise and accurate results.

Mass spectrometry is considered a gold standard in certain clinical situations¹, but many laboratories are unable to use it because current solutions are too complex, lack integration and standardization, and require highly trained personnel. Until now, no fully automated and standardized solution was available.

With the cobas® Mass Spec solution, which includes the cobas® i 601 analyzer and the Ionify® reagents line, you can step away from tedious and complex manual mass spectrometry workflows and experience the simplicity and convenience of a streamlined end-to-end solution.

A broad assay menu of Ionify reagents is in development, complementing the clinical chemistry and immunoassay portfolio available on cobas® pro integrated solutions. The assays include ready-for-use test kits with consistent performance and traceability to reference methods.

The cobas® e411analyzer series is an immunoassays system. Designed with the flexibility to expand operations for busier workloads, the cobas® e411analyzer series can process 50 to 400 samples per day. In addition, access to Roche's broad and growing assay menu ensures the necessary tests are available for your patients when needed.

  • Accurate results the first time Using patented electrochemiluminescence (ECL) technology – with one of the broadest measuring ranges in the industry. High-quality reagents, clot detection, re-run, reflex testing and carry-over protection ensure accurate results the first time.

  • Quality of results Using disposable tips and cups virtually eliminates the potential for carry-over

  • Empowered by cobas brand commonality Intuitive user interface and convenient liquid ready-to-use reagents are common to all cobas eanalyzers allowing minimal training and optimal productivity.

Designed for a dedicated task, with a throughput of up to 400 HbA1c patient results per hour, the cobas c 513 analyzer manages the workload of labs with high to very high HbA1c workload.

The cobas® c 513 analyzer runs the established Roche Tina-quant® HbA1c test, which is standardized according to IFCC and transferable to DCCT/NGSP in order to ensure high quality and standardized results. With no interference from most commonly known HbA1c variants, Roche’s Tina-quant® HbA1c assay delivers accurate results for risk identification and monitoring of long-term blood glucose control.  It can also be used as an aid in the diagnosis of diabetes and identifying patients who may be at risk for developing diabetes. The assay delivers results that clinicians and patients can trust.

With over 50 years of innovation in clinical chemistry, immunodiagnostics and automated diagnostic systems, Roche’s Professional Diagnostics equips diagnostic laboratories around the world with a wide portfolio of more than 220 assays to measure hundreds of different parameters in blood, serum, or urine, while minimizing costs.

Analyzers and reagents include immunology and clinical chemistry systems for commercial labs, hospital core labs, medical centers and laboratory networks.

Since 1996 Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) technology has been Roche’s immunochemistry detection technology of choice. It was first used in the clinical laboratory on the Elecsys® 2010 analyzer with six immunoassay applications.

Today, ECL is the most successful chemiluminescence technology with more than 75 applications and 20,000 instrument placements worldwide. No other IVD company can offer an automated detection technology that matches ECL’s unique blend of controlled reaction, precision and sensitivity, low sample volume, wide measuring range and rapid measurement.
